SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has re-signed unrestricted free agent forward Mike Brown to a two-year contract.
During the 2013-14 regular season, the 28-year-old Brown posted five points (two goals, three assists) and 75 penalty minutes in 48 games with San Jose. Brown also registered two points (one goal, one assist), a plus-one rating, and 26 penalty minutes in six postseason games, including scoring his first career postseason goal in game vs. Los Angeles.
Brown has played in 337 NHL games with Vancouver, Anaheim, Toronto, Edmonton, and San Jose, posting 31 points (17 goals, 14 assists) and 666 penalty minutes.
The five-foot-eleven, 200-pound right wing was acquired from Edmonton on October 21, 2013. He was originally selected by Vancouver in the fifth round (159th overall) in the 2004 NHL Draft.
