San Jose Sharks prospect Taylor Doherty of the Kingston Frontenacs is currently tied for second on the team amongst defensemen in assists (5) and third in points by defensemen with (5). The 6-foot-7 defenseman has recorded twenty-four penalty minutes which ranks him second on the team. Doherty was acquired by the Sharks in the 2nd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.


Prospect Philip Varone of the London Knights is currently tied for third in London with nine points. The 5-foot-10 center has eight assists with the team which tie him for second on the Knights. Varone was named the Third Star of the Game on September 18th vs. Windsor after tallying a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win.
