Two prospects who were signed as free agents during the offseason have been proving their merit lately on their respective Ontario Hockey League squads.

Michael Sgarbossa leads the Saginaw Spirit in assists (9) and has 12 points in 14 games played this season. Currently, he rides the wave of a four-game point streak (1 goal, 5 assists). Sgarbossa was named the First Star on October 27 against Sarnia where he scored the overtime game-winner and added an assist. The 5-foot-11, 165 pound center also has 16 PIM and is plus-3 this season.

J.P Anderson currently ranks second in the OHL in GAA (2.36). The goaltender's six victories with the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors are tied for third best in the league and his two shutouts rank at the top. Anderson made 33 saves in a 4-1 win over Kingston on September 24 and boasts a .911 save percentage on the year.
