Sharks Prospect Report for Feb. 18

San Jose Sharks prospect Logan Couture (pictured) continues to lead the Ottawa 67’s of the Ontario Hockey League in points with 66 and assists with 41. The center also scored 25 points in 50 games. Couture has also scored 18 points in his last 10 games. The Sharks’ first round draft pick in 2007 ranks tied for fourth on the 67’s with seven power play goals.

Couture’s teammate Julien Demers’s 35 points ranks him tied for 13th in the OHL in points by defensemen. The Sharks’ 2008 draft pick leads the team in points. Five of Demers’ seven goals this season have come on the power play and he is tied for eighth on the team in power play goals. His 28 assists ties him for fourth overall on the team.

Cory Larose of the Worcester Sharks is tied for second on team with 34 points (17 goals, 17 assists) in 38 games. His 17 goals is the third highest total on the Sharks. Larose has 25 penalty minutes and five power play goals.
