The Ottawa 67’s Captain Logan Couture tallied 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in the best-of-seven first round playoff loss to the Niagara Ice Dogs. Couture ranked second on the team in points and assists as his 67’s were eliminated Ottawa in seven games from the Ontario Hockey League playoffs. Couture lead the team during the regular season in scoring with 39 goals, 48 assists (87 points) in 62 games played. He was also a plus-23, which is second best on the 67’s. Couture has signed with the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.


Netminder Tyson Sexsmith was a perfect 4-0 with a 1.64 goals against average as his Vancouver Giants of the WHL swept the Prince George Cougars in the first round of the playoffs. Sexsmith is the first in the League in wins and is third in the WHL in save percentage with 0.935. The third-round pick of the 2007 Entry Draft finished the regular season with a 39-9-2 record in 52 games played. He finished with a GAA of 2.26 and six shutouts. Sexsmith broke the WHL and CHL record for shutouts in a career with 25 and still has one more year of junior eligibility remaining.
