Sharks Name Rick Bronwell Assistant Equipment Manager

San Jose Sharks Head Equipment Manager Mike Aldrich today announced that Rick Bronwell has been hired as the team’s assistant equipment manager.


Bronwell spent the previous five seasons as head equipment manager for the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.

In that role, he was responsible for all day-to-day duties of the team’s equipment maintenance, repair and inventory. A staff member of the Aeros’ 2003 Calder Cup Champion squad, Bronwell also served as the head equipment manger for Team Canada at the 2004 AHL All-Star Game.

Prior to joining Houston, he was the head equipment manager for the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the East Coast Hockey League for the 2001-02 season.

From 1996-2001, Bronwell was the assistant equipment manager with the Kansas City Blades of the International Hockey League and served as a game night assistant on the staff from 1992-1996.
