Sharks Ice to Host Sharks Alumni Exhibition Game against Gazprom Export Team from Russia on July 19

SAN JOSE, California -- On July 19, Sharks Ice at San Jose (@Sharks_Ice) will host an exhibition game between a team comprised of San Jose Sharks alumni and Jr. Sharks staff against Gazprom Export, a traveling Russian hockey club. Warm ups will start at 5:30 p.m. with the game beginning at approximately 6 p.m.

All proceeds from the match will benefit the Norcal Rep Scholarship Fund and the Aubri Brown Club. Admission is $15 per person and tickets will be sold at the door beginning at 4:00 p.m. Each person will be allowed to purchase up to five tickets to the event.

In addition, 50 VIP Tickets will be available for $30 each (limit two per person). VIP tickets allow for a meet-and-greet with the Sharks alumni between warm-ups and prior to the start of the game, as well as the option of viewing of the game in a private area of Stanley's Sports Bar. These tickets will also be available at the door and sold on a first-come first-served basis.

"Gazprom Export's help in raising funds for two local non-profit organizations is extremely appreciated. Events like these are a great way for fans to enjoy themselves and help the Bay Area community at the same time."

Scheduled to play for the San Jose alumni team are former and current NHL Players Curtis Brown, Evgeni Nabokov, David Maley, Alexander Korolyuk, Owen Nolan as well as Jon Gustafson, Tyler Shaffar, Robert Savoie, Nate Weossner, and other Sharks Ice Staff and Jr. Sharks Coaches.

Among those scheduled to play for the Gazprom Export team are: Valeri Bure, Darius Kasparaitis, and Vladimir Malakhov. For more information about Gazprom Export hockey please visit
