20170408-playoffs

Tonight is the final game of the 2016-17 regular season for the San Jose Sharks, but the playoff opponent has still yet to be determined.
The seeding for the Pacific Division will go down to the wire, with the fate of the division resting largely in the hands of the Edmonton Oilers, who begin a back-to-back home-and-home against the Vancouver Canucks tonight at 7:00 p.m.
If the Oilers fail to earn two points tonight, the matchup is set and the Sharks and Oilers face off in the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
If the Oilers do earn two points, the seeding will come down to the final day of the regular season, with both the Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks in play as the Sharks first round opponent.
