Sharks Camp Snapshot: Tomas Hertl

by Nicole Grazioli / sjsharks.com

Sharks Camp Snapshot is a quick chance to catch up with the guys from what they've done over the summer break to where their focus is entering Training Camp ahead of the 2016-17 season.

Read below about Tomas Hertl and his new obsession with Game of Thrones.

What was your favorite memory from last season?
My favorite memory would be getting to the Stanley Cup Final. I only played a little bit but it was a great experience. Also one of the biggest moments was winning against St. Louis and becoming Western Conference Champions. It was cool to be part of Sharks history. I will never forget seeing the trophy and having all the fans with us cheering and taking photos - it was a really exciting moment.

Where did you go on vacation this summer?
I stayed a bit longer here but I went four days to Paris with my girlfriend. It was a really nice trip. We walked around and saw the Eiffel Tower and all the other historic things there.

Any good movies, tv shows or book you watched or read during the offseason?
The guys talked a lot last season about Game of Thrones so I watched that. I really love it now. I can watch it all day. I'm all caught up and ready for the next season. I also watched Entourage - it's funny and a good show.

Teammate you missed most in the offseason?
Oh, everyone knows, it's Tommy Wingels. We are best friends here - we talk a lot, we text, and we see each other a lot. It's fun. It's great to see all the guys though. We play so many games together and are together all the time that it's hard not seeing each other for 3 months.

What is your individal focus for training camp and this season?
My focus is to just be ready. Hopefully everything is right with my knee. I want to work hard everyday and practice on my shot. I also want to be ready for the season because it's coming soon. I want to start the first game right and have the team start winning right away.

What are you looking forward to most this season?
I want to get back to the playoffs because I remember from last year how much fun it was. I'm excited to start the first game against LA infront of our fans - I love playing in the Shark Tank.
