Sharks Camp Snapshot is a quick chance to catch up with the guys from what they've done over the summer break to where their focus is entering Training Camp ahead of the 2016-17 season.
Get to know new Sharks member Mikkel Boedker and learn about his visit to San Jose this summer and his World Cup experience in Toronto.
Where did you go on vacation this summer?
My girlfriend and I came over to San Jose actually. We were here for 11 days. We did some of the touristy things and visited San Francisco and Napa. It was a good time. I met all the guys that were here for Development Camp so it was nice to come over here and feel the warm weather again, meet the guys, see the area and find a place to live.
Any good movies, TV shows, or books you watched or read during the offseason?
I watched the movie, War Dogs - I really enjoyed it. For TV shows, I think I just watched my standard shows. I really like Suits. Other than that summer for me is about being outside and hanging out with your friends and family. So overall I used most of my summer to do that.
What is your individual focus for training camp and this season?
My focus is to be productive and be able to help the team in any way I can. I'm going to make sure to do the best I can.
How was your World Cup experience?
It was fun. Getting to the Final is always something that you want to achieve and I think that we did that as a team. Obviously Canada is a tough team to beat but I think we played two really good games. We didn't win it all, but it was a cool experience to be there.
Did you have any interaction with any of your other Sharks teammates at the World Cup?
Yea definitely. With dressing rooms right by each other you run into them a lot and it was great to meet them prior to Training Camp. They're great guys.
