Sharks Camp Snapshot is a quick chance to catch up with the guys from what they've done over the summer break to where their focus is entering Training Camp ahead of the 2016-17 season.
Check in with Martin Jones on his favorite series from last year's playoffs and what he hopes to accomplish for the 2016-17 season.
What was your favorite memory from last season?
It's tough to pick one. When you play that long and you go that deep with the team it's a lot of fun. The playoff run in general was a a great time. Every series was different in it's own way. Beating LA was important for our team and good for myself as well.
Where did you go on vacation this season?
Nothing crazy. I was just at home catching up with friends and family for most of the summer.
Any good movies, TV shows, or books you watched or read during the offseason?
I usually try to save that stuff for the winter time. Game of Thrones and Narcos are two shows I really enjoy.
Teammate you missed most in the offseason?
I missed them all - it's a fun group. Obviously it's great to see the big personalities like Joe Thornton and Brent Burns again - those guys are pretty entertaining.
What is your individual focus for training camp and this season?
I use Training Camp to prepare for the season. The goal for the team in general is the same as last year, nothing really changes for us. I want to try and get better personally and as a team and win a Stanley Cup.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
With the team that we have, everyone is just excited to have the opportunity to win a Championship again. We went through it last year and it's not easy to do, but we're excited to have the opportunity.
