Sharks Camp Snapshot is a quick chance to catch up with the guys from what they've done over the summer break to where their focus is entering Training Camp ahead of the 2016-17 season.
First up, Justin Braun! The defenseman discusses his new daughter and more as he enters his seventh season with the men in teal.
What was your favorite memory from last season?
My favorite memory was getting to the Cup Final. We didn't get all the way but it was awesome getting to that point. All the goals were great, but all the hard work and finally getting to the Final and being the first team in Sharks history to get there was pretty cool.
Where did you go on vacation this summer?
I went back to Minnesota and saw family. My wife and I have a new baby so we got to show her off to everyone. My daughter Madison is good. She's crawling around and getting into everything already.
Any good movies, tv shows or book you watched or read during the offseason?
I watched some Netlfix here and there but mostly I spent time playing with Madison and getting sleep. Oh and I spent a lot of time baby proofing the house, which keeps you busy!
Teammate you missed most in the offseason?
I would say Dylan DeMelo. He really cracks me up in the morning with his dry sense of humor- he's a good guy to have around and one of the more entertaining guys.
What is your individual focus for training camp and this season?
I'm working on my offense and looking to score more goals. I also want to keep playing a consistent strong game.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
I'm most excited for a chance to get going again. It's always nice to get a chance to play in this league with these guys. It'll be fun to get going once the guys get back from Toronto. Hopefully we have the same success that we had last year.
