Sharks Camp Snapshot is a quick chance to catch up with the guys from what they've done over the summer break to where their focus is entering Training Camp ahead of the 2016-17 season.
Check in with defenseman Brenden Dillon who says he's ready to get back to the Tank.
What was your favorite memory from last season?
Going to the Stanley Cup Final was my favorite memory - absolutely, no questions asked.
Where did you go on vacation this summer?
With the shorter offseason I spent most of my time back home in Canada. I traveled a bit around there and then visited Minnesota.
Any good movies, tv shows or book you watched or read during the offseason?
I'm a huge Netflix guy. I finished Stranger Things - it's really good. I'm not huge into the science fiction genre but they did a great job. I also watched all 3 seasons of Better Call Saul. Another show I started was Spartacus. Dainius Zubrus told me last year that I had to watch it and I enjoyed it. Crushed all of Narcos as well. Finished Season 2 within the first three days.
Teammate you missed most in the offseason?
I missed a lot of the guys. I missed seeing Joe Thornton everyday - he's a pretty funny guy. I get to sit besides Brent Burns everyday and he's always entertaining with some funny stories about his kids. Also seeing Tomas Hertl smile makes everyone laugh.
What is your individal focus for training camp and this season?
I want to work on my game as a whole but also want to improve on my offensive play. I want to create some more offense, join in the play a bit more and score some more goals.
What are you looking forward to most this season?
I'm looking most forward to Game 1 back at the Shark Tank. I can't wait to get things kicked off this season. There was such excitement last year with everything that everyone is just excited to be back and playing.
