SHARKS ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR EXTENSION WITH RADIO FLAGSHIP STATION 98.5 K-FOX
San Jose Sharks hockey will be back on 98.5 K-FOX (KUFX-FM), after the two sides announced a multi-year extension to the partnership that has made the San Jose-based radio station the Sharks radio network flagship since the 2000-01 season.
|Sharks Radio Play-by-Play Announcer Dan Rusanowsky will be back on 98.5 KFOX for all Sharks regular season and Stanley Cup Playoff games. |
The extension calls for 98.5 K-FOX to continue to broadcast live and in their entirety, all regular season and Stanley Cup playoff Sharks contests, as well as select preseason games.
In addition, a weekly Sharks segment featuring Sharks players, coaches and other personalities will air at 6:50 a.m. on each Tuesday during Greg Kihn's top-rated K-FOX morning show.
The "Radio Voice of the San Jose Sharks," Dan Rusanowsky, will once again call all the play-by-play action and will host the popular "Sharks Warm-Up" pre-game show and "Sharks Extra" post-game wrap-up. The venerable Rusanowsky, who returns for his 15th season as the Sharks radio play-by-play broadcaster, has called over 1,000 games and has witnessed nearly every regular and post-season game in Sharks history.
Based in San Jose, the 98.5 K-FOX broadcast signal services the entire Silicon Valley and the majority of the Bay Area, including San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, the Tri-Valley Area, and Santa Cruz. KUFX is owned by Clear Channel Radio (NYSE:CCU), which owns and operates radio stations throughout the United States.
