Sharks and CSN California Announce TV Schedule for 2010 First Round Dates vs. Colorado Avalanche

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Sharks and Comcast SportsNet California today announced that all seven potential first round Sharks playoff games will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet California. All games will be broadcast in high-definition.

Each Sharks playoff game will be preceded by the ½ hour Sharks Pregame Live program and followed by Sharks Postgame Live.

The San Jose Sharks (#1) first-round playoff series against the Colorado Avalanche (#8), presented by Canadian Solar, will begin on Wednesday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. PDT at HP Pavilion. The entire schedule is listed at bottom of this release.

Wednesday, April 14 - Chronicle Live from HP Pavilion
Comcast SportsNet Bay Area kicks off the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a special edition of Chronicle Live from HP Pavilion in San Jose on Wednesday, April 14 at 5:00 p.m. PDT. Show guests include Greg Jamison (President and Chief Executive Officer, San Jose Sharks), Doug Wilson (Executive Vice President and General Manager, San Jose Sharks), and others. Chronicle Live, hosted by Greg Papa, airs live Monday-Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, and replays on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area at 11:00 p.m. and on Comcast SportsNet California at 6:00 p.m. and midnight. Chronicle Live is also available on Comcast Digital Cable’s ON DEMAND Channel 1.

During the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs, tune into Comcast SportsNet Bay Area’s SportsNet Central for in-depth, comprehensive news coverage of the Sharks and the NHL, including expert analysis, breaking local and national news, up-to-the-minute scores, complete video highlights, and daily insider reports. SportsNet Central is the place for Shark fans to turn seven nights a week with half-hour newscasts at 6:00 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and midnight PDT.

Sharks Pregame Live
A half-hour before every Sharks playoff game on Comcast SportsNet California, Sharks Pregame Live will lead viewers right to the drop of the puck with a breakdown of the evening’s match-up, insightful analysis, plus interviews with Sharks coaches and players. Sharks Pregame Live is anchored by Scott Reiss with analyst Bret Hedican and features reports from Brodie Brazil and Jamie Baker.

Sharks Postgame Live
Immediately following every Sharks playoff game on Comcast SportsNet California, Sharks Postgame Live will provide in-depth game analysis, complete game highlights, a live look at Coach Todd McLellan’s press conference, interviews from the locker room and player reaction, and a preview of the next game., provides daily coverage about the Sharks all season long, with extended written and video material daily throughout the postseason. Sharks broadcasters Drew Remenda, Jamie Baker, Randy Hahn and Dan Rusanowsky voice their opinions through the broadcaster blog and the chatroom is the place to interact with fellow Sharks fans.
