SAN JOSE, CA - The National Hockey League and the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) today announced the team's complete 2018-19 regular season schedule.
San Jose will open the 2018-19 season at SAP Center at San Jose against the Anaheim Ducks on Wed., Oct.3. The 2018-19 season features 17 weekend home dates, including two weekends of back-to-backs against division rivals (Dec. 22-23 vs. LAK and ARI, respectively; Mar. 30-31 vs. VGK and CGY, respectively). The 2018 Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals make their only visit to San Jose on Thu., Feb.14. Game two of the season kicks off the Sharks' first road trip with a five-game trip that starts in Los Angeles before heading to the East Coast from Oct. 5-14. San Jose will face the Vegas Golden Knights for the first time the Second Round of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday, Nov. 24 at Vegas.
The Sharks will play each NHL opponent at least a total of two times this season, once at home and once on the road, meaning every NHL team will visit SAP Center at San Jose this season.
Special matinee home games starting at 1 pm will be held on Dec. 22 vs. Los Angeles and March 9 vs. St. Louis. The Sharks will also host two 5 p.m. games (Dec. 23 vs. ARI and March 31 vs. CGY) and three 6 p.m. games (Nov. 11 vs. CGY, Nov 23 vs VAN and March 30 vs. VGK).
