San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club had activated Devin Setoguchi and Rob Blake for the Vancouver game. In a related move, San Jose reassigned forward Benn Ferriero and defenseman Jason Demers to the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Ferriero has played in 22 games with San Jose this season, posting five points (two goals and three assists).
The five-foot ten, 185-pound native of Boston, Massachusetts was signed by San Jose as a free agent on Sept. 1, 2009.
Demers has played in all 27 of San Jose’s games, posting 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) and 10 penalty minutes.
The six-foot-one, 185-pound native of Dorval, Quebec was originally selected by San Jose in the seventh round (186th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Forward Jody Shelley was placed on injured reserve, retroactive to Nov. 7.
