To achieve this accreditation, SAP Center has committed to implementing and maintaining a comprehensive system of enhanced cleaning, sanitization, and infectious disease prevention that follows the program's criteria, including risk assessment and mitigation, standard operating procedures, personal protective equipment, personnel training, and emergency preparedness and response. The arena has a professional housekeeping team that is familiar with the facility and has created a COVID Task Force to oversee and review all policies and procedures for best practices. In addition, the cleaning and sanitation team has gone through extensive medical-grade training on new chemicals and processes helping to drive key elements of the arena's reopening.
"Receiving this designation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council validates the hard work and commitment that our team members have put forth over the last several years to keep our facility as one of the cleanest and safest in the world," said SAP Center Senior Vice President and General Manager Jon Gustafson. "The safety of our guests is paramount. The Sharks organization is proud of our team members and thank them for their sustained efforts to keep our venue clean and our guests safe. We look forward to hosting many great sporting events, concerts, and family shows at SAP Center very soon."
