This is not the first time that the Sharks and PIVOT have worked together. In 2016, the Sharks and PIVOT partnered to secure a naming rights deal for the Sharks public ice facilities in both San Jose and Fremont. The multi-year partnership included prominent signage on the exterior and interior of each building along with a name change to both venues. That same year, the Sharks and PIVOT teamed-up to secure a naming rights deal for the club level at
SAP Center at San Jose
which also included branding on the venue's ticket check-in kiosks as well as sponsorship of the popular "This is Sharks Territory" marketing campaign.
The current partnership between the Sharks and PIVOT Agency has already begun with PIVOT to be in market by February.
