On Tuesday night, Sharks fans will finally have their chance to watch Jeremy Roenick on their television sets again. But this time, he won’t be wearing a Sharks uniform. He’ll be dressed as a security guard.
The Sharks 39-year-old center will be acting alongside Oscar-winner Timothy Hutton in “Leverage,” airing on Tuesday at 10 p.m. (Pacific) on TNT. Roenick plays the part of a security guard who’s out-witted by a beautiful brunette in the episode, “The Mile High Job.”
“It’s a great scene and it’s a great vibe,” Roenick said following Monday’s morning skate. “Being on set with Timothy Hutton was fantastic. He’s such a good man and he was extremely nice and supportive to me, so that made it even better.”
Roenick filmed the episode in Los Angeles in August before returning to San Jose to train for the upcoming season. Although he plays a minor part, the process of filming was extremely time consuming for the 20-year NHL veteran.
“If you don’t have patience, forget about it,” Roenick said about acting. “To film a 30- second clip is a five or six hour ordeal. It’s monotonous.”
The show can be found on Comcast channel 37, DirecTV channels 75 and 245, and DISH Network channel 138.
