*Road Warriors…The Sharks went 28-10-3 on the road this season and are 3-0-0 on the road in the playoffs this season.

*Regular season in Nashville….The San Jose Sharks went 1-1-0-0 in Nashville this season (6-2 loss on Feb 6 and a 3-2 shootout win on April 2).

* Record in Nashville – San Jose is 13-16-1-1 in 31 all-time regular season meetings in Nashville and 4-1-0 in five career playoff games in Nashville. The last time the Sharks played a playoff road game in Nashville on Apr 20, 2007, Patrick Marleau had the game winner in a series-clinching 3-2 win in Game 5.

*Leading series 2-0…The Sharks are 7-2 in series they lead two games to nothing!

*Game 3 Record… The Sharks are 20W-12L in Game 3’s in the playoffs – including 9W-6L on the road!

*Hertl likes Nashville… Tomas Hertl scored twice in the third period to force overtime for the Sharks 3-2 shootout win on Apr 2 at Nashville. Tomas has four goals in seven games for the Sharks vs. the Predators in the regular season, and scored the game tying goal early in the third period in Game 1!

“Your leaders drive the bus. And these guys have done a heck of a job doing it. When we need that big goal or someone to step up, it’s those guys when we expect them to.” – Tommy Wingels after Game 2 win vs. Nashville

Looks like Tommy is referring to the captain scoring the go-ahead goal to break the 1-1 tie in Game 2 vs. Nashville… Or was he referencing Joel Ward striking at 11:49 of the third period to break a 1-1 tie in Game 1?… Or was he talking about Logan Couture’s two game winning goals in the playoffs so far this season?... What about Brent Burns leading the club with 11 points in 7 playoff games?  The list this season goes on and on! The Sharks have had several leaders “drive” the bus this season, young and old, which is a really good sign early in this playoff season for the Sharks!

#8 Joe Pavelski

1st US-Born full time captain of the SJ Sharks

Led the Sharks in Goals (38) and 2nd in points (78)

*Joe Pavelski's tiebreaking goal at 17:20 of the third period in Game 2 vs. Nashville was the first go-ahead playoff tally by a Sharks player in the final five minutes of regulation since 2008. Joe Thornton scored at the 19:50 mark of the third period to break a 2-2 tie on Apr 15, 2008 in Game 4 at the Calgary Flames. (stick tap to Elias Sports Bureau)

Jonathan Cheechoo scored his first NHL goal – the game winner – in a 2-1 win in Nashville on Oct 24, 2002.
