Randy Hahn to Make Appearance at Ike's Lair in Santa Clara to Raise Money for Charity

by Staff Writer / San Jose Sharks

SAN JOSE, California – Ike’s Lair in Santa Clara will be hosting an event to raise money for charity and debut a new sandwich called the “Randy Hahn”, in honor of the 22-year San Jose Sharks broadcaster.

The sandwich will be unveiled at Ike’s Lair in Santa Clara on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 12:30 PM. Hahn will make an appearance at the restaurant to greet customers, sign autographs, hold a raffle that includes a variety of Sharks memorabilia and serve the hand-crafted sandwich in which he invented.

The sandwich includes ham, cheddar cheese and Ike’s “dirty sauce”. It will be available at the majority of Ike’s Bay Area locations in the future.

“My broadcast partner Drew Remenda has often mentioned that I am a ham and can be kind of cheesy,” Hahn said. “It seemed like this was a perfect set of ingredients for the sandwich.”

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Sharks Foundation Holiday Assist Party. This program pairs Sharks employees and personalities with underserved San Jose families to help them fulfill their Christmas wish lists. For many of these families, the items provided through the Holiday Assist Party are the only gifts they will receive during the holidays.

Ike’s Lair is located at 2235 The Alameda in Santa Clara.
