Gung Hay Fat Choy!
Today marks the beginning of the new Lunar New Year, which means it's time for family and red envelopes as everyone celebrates the transition from the Year of the Rooster to the Year of the Dog.
The Sharks will be fully celebrating Lunar New Year on Sunday, but there's no reason not to kick it off today. As it is the year of the dog, sjsharks.com felt that it'd be the perfect time to celebrate some of the best dogs we've seen over the past year.

Outside of occasional San Jose Barracuda promotions, you don't often see dogs at Sharks games. That wasn't the case on November 20, when this very good dog was caught on the video board in the third period.
1. Dogs of Sharks Territory

We ask Sharks fans to send in photos of themselves in cool places with "This is Sharks Territory" signs. Sometimes we get photos of dogs instead. We are okay with that.
1. Poodleshark

Have you heard of a poodleshark before? Neither had we, until Opening Night this season, when we ran into the newest breed of shark (or the newest breed of dog?).
1. Vlasic's pack

Kelly, Nicky, and Macy are probably some of the most famous dogs in Sharks Territory, and we wouldn't have it any other way. The trio was featured in Marc-Edouard Vlasic's bobblehead and were the stars of the show at the San Jose Barracuda's Puck and Paws Night.

Oh, and they were also the heroes in this year's holiday video.
1. Lake, Danny's companion dog

Lake not only helps her owner Danny with day-to-day challenges, she also pulled off probably the best puck drop we've ever seen.
Note: It's impossible to say any dog is better than any other dog so all of them are ranked #1.
