SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced today that Joe Pavelski (@jpav8) has been selected as the Sharks Foundation (@SharksCare) "Sharks Player of the Month" for November.

Pavelski finished the month of November with 15 points (11 goals, four assists) and led the Sharks in points, goals, and power-play goals (five). His 11 goals tied him for third among NHL skaters during the month, and his five power-play goals tied for fourth in November.

The Plover, Wisconsin native recently scored his 700th career point to become the fifth player in NHL history to register 700 NHL points drafted 200th or later. He is the third Shark to earn 700 points with the franchise and in October, became the fourth Sharks skater to play in 900 games with the team.

Established in the 1996-97 season, the Sharks Foundation "Sharks Player of the Month" program honors the Sharks player(s) who have contributed most to the team's success each month. The Sharks Player of the Month and Year award program has donated more than $300,000 to the Sharks Foundation since the program's inception.
