NHL Draft Viewing Party Presented by Coors Light

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) invite all Bay Area hockey fans to attend the inaugural Sharks Draft Party presented by Coors Light on Friday, June 27. The Sharks Draft Party presented by Coors Light will take place at Stanley's Sports Bar, located inside Sharks Ice at San Jose at 1500 South 10th Street in San Jose, from approximately 3-8 p.m.

The event will be hosted by Sharks radio play-by-play announcer Dan Rusanowsky (@DanRusanowsky) and Sharks in-game host Danny Miller. Sharks alumni and former NHL draftees Jamie Baker (@Bakes_Jamie13), Kyle McLaren and Mike Rathje will also be in attendance for a Q&A session and to meet with fans. The first round of the 2014 NHL Draft will be shown LIVE on multiple screens at Stanley's starting at 4 p.m. on NBC SportsNetwork.

The Sharks are currently slated to select 20th overall in the 2014 NHL Draft and hold three selections in the Top 60. Notable NHL players selected at 20th overall have included Sharks Associate Coach & Director of Player Development Larry Robinson (Montreal, 1971), Brian Sutter (St. Louis, 1976), Michel Goulet (Quebec, 1979), Martin Brodeur (New Jersey, 1990) and Sharks defenseman Brent Burns (Minnesota, 2003).

Fans attending the live telecast will be treated to some great entertainment including the Pepsi Tank Patrol, raffles and trivia contests for cool Sharks prizes, in addition to an appearance by S.J. Sharkie.

Furthermore, a limited number of lucky fans attending the draft party may have the opportunity to speak with the Sharks 2014 first-round draft selection via phone (subject to change).

Food and drink specials will be available for attendees and fans will be able to browse the latest Sharks merchandise, including the official Sharks 2014 NHL Draft hat.

In addition to the draft party, fans have the chance to win $10,000 by correctly predicting each pick in the first round with the Sharks "Call The Draft" contest. For details, visit
