Julio Gonzalez and Olympic Gold Medalist Andre Ward To Headline Fight Night At The Tank 2006 Season Finale

The 2006 season finale of Fight Night at the Tank returns to HP Pavilion on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m.  Headlining the card will be top-rated Light Heavyweight contender, former world champion and Fight Night at the Tank veteran Julio Gonzalez (40-3, 24 KO’s) of Huntington Beach, CA.  Gonzalez will take on Vitali Kopitko (24-8, 9 KO’s) from Miami, FL in a 10 Round Light Heavyweight bout.  In the semi-main event will be 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist and Bay Area boxing legend Andre Ward (9-0, 5 KO’s), pictured at right.  Ward, who last fought at The Tank in August of 2005 as part of the “Best Damn Night of Olympians,” a boxing event televised nationally on Fox Sports Net where he scored a third round TKO over opponent Christopher Holt, will take on Derrick Findley (6-1, 5KOs) of Gary, IN.
