SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that defenseman Derek Joslin has been reassigned to the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League, and will play in the American Hockey League All-Star Game, which will take place at DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. on Jan. 26.

Joslin was voted to the starting line-up for the Canadian AHL All-Star Team.

Recalled to San Jose on Jan. 2, Joslin has played in seven games with the Sharks, posting four penalty minutes.

At the time of his recall to San Jose, Joslin was third on Worcester in scoring, first among defensemen with 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) in 34 games.

The six-foot-one, 205-pound native of Richmond Hill, Ontario was originally selected by San Jose in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
