SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Derek Joslin and forward Jamie McGinn to the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Joslin has played in 22 games with San Jose, posting three points (three assists), 12 penalty minutes and a plus-two rating.
With Worcester, Joslin ranks second among team defensemen in assists with 14. In 27 games, he has 15 points (1 goal, 14 assists).
The six-foot-one, 210-pound native of Richmond, Ontario was originally selected by San Jose in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
McGinn has played in 39 games with San Jose this season, posting seven goals (7-1=8 ) and 20 penalty minutes.
With Worcester, he has posted 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) and a +7 rating in 17 games.
The six-foot, 185-pound native of Fergus, Ontario native was originally selected by San Jose in the second round (36th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
