After a dominating 5-0 win over the Ottawa Senators last night, including putting 50 shots on goal, the Sharks are back in action tonight at the Tank to take on the Minnesota Wild for the first time this season.
While the Sharks have recently been criticized by some for not scoring a lot of goals, that reputation has been turned on its head the past two games. The Sharks have scored 5 goals in each of their past two contests, including 9 straight. On Thursday the goals came all through special teams play (or 3-on-3 overtime), while last night's game saw the team score three 5-on-5 goals and two power play goals.
There is some concern after Dylan DeMelo left last night's game after getting butt-ended in the face by Alex Burrows. There was no update on his status after the game, so it could be a sign that Joakim Ryan comes back into the lineup.
