Welcome to the Gameday Blog, the one-stop shop for San Jose Sharks fans on every gameday. This blog will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets, so be sure to check back as they day goes on.

The Sharks look to get into the win column tonight against the rival Los Angeles Kings. Despite not having the same amount of pageantry as the game on Wednesday, it doesn't feel like the season has started until the Sharks and Kings face off (mostly because it's how the season opened for the last three years).

After allowing power play goals on their first three penalty kills, the Sharks will look to shore up that part of their game against the Los Angeles Kings. The Sharks did outshoot the Flyers 35-31, which was consistent with their shot-heavy approach to things last season.

Kevin Labanc was all over the score sheet on Wednesday, scoring two goals and briefly being tied for the league lead in goals. The Sharks hope that he and other young players can step up this season and contribute on the scoreboard.
