Tonight the Sharks host the Boston Bruins for the teams' first meeting of the season.
Last game the Sharks beat Vancouver 3-2 for the third straight meeting this season, and the sixth straight time overall. Timo Meier, Logan Couture, and Joe Pavelski led the offense with two points apiece. Captain Joe Pavelski scored his third game-winning goal of the season. Erik Karlsson returned to action and logged one assist in his first game since Jan. 16. Martin Jones won his 28th game of the season.
Tonight's matchup against Boston is the first of two meetings this regular season. Last year, the Sharks dropped both meetings against the Bruins. The Bruins are coming off two straight wins against the Ducks and Kings respectively.
This season against Eastern Conference foes, the Sharks are 11-9-4, earning a 7-3-0 record in the previous 10 games against the East.
