So far so good on the Sharks East Coast road trip. Last night the team defeated the New Jersey Devils in a 3-0 shutout. Now they head across the Hudson River and face the New York Islanders at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Last matchup between the Sharks and Islanders didn't go quite as planned for Team Teal as they dropped the game 3-1 at SAP Center. The recent winning momentum of the Sharks though could propel them to even the season series against the Isles. The Sharks are 3-1-0 in their last four games, beating the Sabres, Canadiens, and Devils.
Goaltender Aaron Dell is likely to make the start against the Islanders as the team heads into their second game of a back-to-back. Dell made his NHL debut last year in Brooklyn where he also registered his first NHL win. The offensive production of the team continues to rise as both Melker Karlsson and Joonas Donskoi scored their first goals of the season last night against the Devils.
As more of the team heats up, the Sharks look to continue their successful road trip tonight.
