The San Jose Sharks take on the Vegas Golden Knights tonight in Vegas for the second matchup of the season and final time on the road.
The Sharks are coming off an undefeated homestand and are looking extend their four-game win streak. Their most recent win was on Tuesday night with a 7-2 winnower the Edmonton Oilers. Erik Karlsson registered his third-straight multi-assist game, including back-to-back three-assist games, for assists in his previous 14 appearances. He became the 5th different defenseman to do so in NHL history. Evander Kane, Joonas Donskoi, Timo Meier, and Brent Burns all recorded a multi-point game against the Oilers.
The Sharks and Golden Knights last met on November 24 in Vegas. San Jose recorded a 6-0 defeat. Timo Meier led the team in shots with five while Brent Burns led the team in TOI at 24:07. Aaron Dell stopped 30 shots in his second straight start in a back-to-back set. Since the start of December, the Sharks have scored 80 goals which co-leads the NHL.
Heading into tonight's game, San Jose has won four straight games and are 6- 1-0 in their last seven along with a 5-1-0 record in their last six road games, Erik Karlsson has assists in six straight and in his last 14 appearances and Evander Kane has points in six straight.
