Welcome to the Gameday Blog, the one-stop shop for San Jose Sharks fans on every gameday.
Tonight the Sharks look to even the series up in Game 4 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
After having won Game 1, the Sharks have dropped two straight to Vegas. Game 3 saw the Sharks victimized by poor starts in each of the three periods, allowing a goal within the first minute of the period start each time. The Sharks did show some life in the third period, with Logan Couture and Timo Meier quickly scoring back-to-back, but that ultimately wasn't enough to win the game.
It will be crucial for the Sharks to win tonight's Game 4 to avoid being on the brink of elimination, and instead wrestling back home ice advantage as the series heads back to San Jose for Game 5.
But it won't be easy for the Sharks. As of yesterday's practice, defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic remains day-to-day, while forward Micheal Haley - having to be helped off the ice in Game 3 - joins him on the "day-to-day" list. And the team will also be without center Joe Thornton, who was suspended for one game.
Sharks fans can tune into tonight's game on NBCSCA as well as NBCSN. In addition, Sharks fans can listen on 98.5 KFOX or the Sharks radio network, or tune in on the Sharks + SAP Center app.
Sharks fans can also come out to watch the game at the Game 4 Watch Party on Autumn Street outside SAP Center. There promises to be food trucks, the Sharks Foundation beer booth, activities, the Sharks street team, and #PlayoffMode rally towel giveaway to the first 200 people! Be sure to bring your own lawn chair.
