Welcome to the Gameday Blog, the one-stop shop for San Jose Sharks fans on every gameday.
The series heads to Denver tonight as the San Jose Sharks and Colorado Avalanche are tied up 1-1 after two games.
This is a familiar situation for both teams. In the previous round, the Sharks found themselves tied 1-1 after winning the first game, while the Colorado Avalanche were tied 1-1 after dropping the first game. The Avalanche went on to win the next three to take the series, while the Sharks went down 3-1 before embarking on an epic comeback. While this just means the Sharks have proven to be able to come back from being down in a series, it would still be preferable to win tonight.
In Game 2, defenseman Brent Burns contributed on all three of the Sharks goals and is just the second defenseman in the 2019 NHL playoffs to register a multi-goal performance. Tomas Hertl (0g, 2a) and Evander Kane (1g, 1a) each earned a multi-point outing while Erik Karlsson earned his 10th assist of the postseason, which co-leads the league.
Sharks fans can tune into tonight's game on NBCSN. In addition, Sharks fans can listen on 98.5 KFOX or the Sharks radio network, or tune in on the Sharks + SAP Center app.
Sharks fans can also come out to watch the game at the Game 3 Watch Party at Avaya Stadium. Fans must claim their tickets prior to attending.
