Canucks-4, Sharks-2
(Vancouver leads series 3-1)

20:00 It's over and the Canucks take a 3-1 series lead with the 4-2 win while managing just 13 shots for the game.  Clowe is handed a cross-checking penalty on Kesler at the final horn.

17:30 Niemi pulled for an extra attacker.

15:55 Sharks score again and use the momentum from the penalty kill to do it.  Marleau carried the puck in right side on a three-on-two.  Marleau fed Couture driving down the slot, slid it over to Clowe on the left who buried a wrister top shelf glove side.
SJ E Goal: Clowe (6)  A: Couture (7), Marleau (5) at 15:55  4-2 VAN

13:29 Marleau gets called for interference off a Sharks face-off win in the Vancouver zone.

12:02 Sharks with a lot of pressure and swarming Luongo, already with 12 shots in the period.

7:02 Sharks get on the scoreboard and it's the fourth line that provides the score.  On a cycle in the Vancouver zone, McGinn from below the goal line passes the puck to Vlasic at the high slot; Vlasic's blast is tipped in front by Desjardins and passed Luongo.  After a review it's a good goal.
SJ E Goal: Desjardins (1)  A: Vlasic (3), McGinn (1) at 7:02  4-1 VAN

5:43 Canucks make it 4-0 after a two-on-one rush and a great breakout of the defensive zone and a face-off win.  Henrik Sedin raced with puck down the right side, attacked the net and deked Niemi sliding the puck across to Burrows for the tap in.
VAN E Goal: Burrows (6)  A: H. Sedin 4(17), D. Sedin 3(7) at 5:43  4-0 VAN

5:33 Sharks putting some pressure on Luongo, good chance with a tip off a Huskins slapper from the left point.

2:00 Heatley fires a slapshot from the left boards forcing Luongo to make a glove save and holding for a draw.

0:00 Sharks need some of that thrid period magic we saw early in the playoffs down 3-0 starting the thrid period.  Sharks start a line of Pavelski, Setoguchi and Clowe with Vlasic and Huskins on defense.  The Canucks start the Kesler line with Salo and Edler on the blueline.

20:00 Second period ends and the Canucks manage the three goals on just four shots in the second period thanks to the three five-on-three power play goals.  Shots are 18-10 San Jose through two periods.

17:00 Shots are 17-10 Sharks.

13:01 Murray comes back on the ice and the Sharks are finally back at even strength.

11:11 The two-man advantage scores again for the Canucks and it's the same trio that converted on the last goal.  Salo jumps up from the left point and blasts a one-timer from the left circle passed Niemi stick side off a feed from Henrik Sedin.
VAN PP Goal: Salo 2(3)  A: H. Sedin 3(16), D. Sedin 2(6) at 11:11  3-0 VAN

11:01 Murray is called for delay of game after flipping the puck over the glass from the defensive zone giving the Canucks another five-on-three power play.

10:55 Canucks get another with the five-on-three as Salo with a blast from the high slot through a screen beats Niemi stick side.
VAN PP Goal: Salo (2)  A: H. Sedin 2(15), D. Sedin (5) at 10:55  2-0 VAN

10:39 Sharks are caught with too many men on the ice putting the Canucks back on the two man advantage.

9:16 Canucks capitalize quickly with the two-man advantage and get on the board first.  Kesler with a one-time blast from the left dot with Niemi trying to go post-to-post.
VAN PP Goal: Kesler (6)  A: Salo (1), H. Sedin (14) at 9:16  1-0 VAN

9:05 Mitchell is called for hooking Daniel Sedin giving the Canucks a five-on-three for the next 1:10.

8:15 Sharks are called for their first penalty as Heatley is called for high-sticking in the neutral zone on Hodgson.

4:06 Hamhuis exits the box and another kill for the Canucks as the Sharks are now nothing-for-five on the power play.  Couple good chances for San Jose with the best being Wellwood from the slot after a weird bounce off the boards.

2:06 The Canucks take another penalty as Hamhuis is called for hooking Marleau as the Sharks were on a rush into the Vancouver zone.

2:00 Torres comes out of the box and the Canucks kill off another.

0:00 Sharks begin the second 20 minutes on the power play thanks to Torres.

20:00 Not a smart end to the first for the Canucks as Torres with a blatant charging penalty will put the Sharks on the man advantage to start the second period.  Murray on a rush for San Jose, carried the puck down the left wing to the corner of the Vancouver zone and tried to center with the clock running down.  Torres with about four strides momentum and all the way from the blueline rammed into Murray and an obvious call right in front of Kelly Sutherland.  Shots wind up 10-6 San Jose for the first period.

18:30 Good chance for McGinn on a tip from the low slot off a Vlasic shot from the left point.

15:36 Glass exits the box as the Canucks remain perfect on the penalty kill.  Sharks managed one shot on the power play.

13:36 Glass picks up his second minor of the first period and both violations have been committed on White.  Two minutes for boarding the Sharks defenseman in the left-wing corner of the Vancouver zone.

12:32 Bieksa comes out of the box and the Sharks are zero-for-two with the man advantage.

10:32 Bieksa is called for a high-stick in the neutral zone, catching Thornton with his blade.

10:15 Bieksa driving the net down the slot sends a tip just wide, hitting the outside of the net.

9:59 Both teams are playing it conservatively, but also finishing their checks.  Shots are 4-3 Sharks and the eight total face-offs are even at four.

9:00 It's a dump and chase battle here with no stoppages and few shots on goal.

2:26 Glass comes out of the box and Vancouver with the early kill.

1:40 Niemi tested short-handed as the Canucks with a two-on-one from Hansen and Raymond are denied.

0:26 Didn't take the Canucks long to find the penalty box as Glass is called for tripping White at the left point off a face-off in the Vancouver zone following an icing call.

0:00 Game 4 is underway!  Vancouver jumbles their starting line to try and set a phyisical tone as they go with Kesler, Torres and Glass up front, while pairing Salo and Edler on the blueline.  The Sharks counter with a line of Pavelski, McGinn and Mayers, with Wallin and White on defense.
