Friday the 13 Festivities Feature Boyle

by San Jose Sharks Staff / San Jose Sharks
The Winchester Mystery House Tower Bell will be rung 13 times on Friday the 13th by Sharks defenseman Dan Boyle.

Friday the 13th festivities at the Winchester Mystery House will get underway at 1300 hours (1:00 p.m.) when Sharks defenseman Dan Boyle will serve as the Honorary Bell Ringer and toll the tower bell thirteen times in honor of Sarah Winchester.

Boyle, who is coming off his best season as a Shark after joining the team in the 2008 offseason, also played on the Gold Medal winning Men’s Canadian Olympic hockey team in Vancouver. His 58 points in the 2009-2010 regular season were his best as a Shark and he helped the team advance to the Western Conference Finals by scoring 14 points in 15 playoff games.

Rare evening flashlight tours will also be conducted from 8:30 p.m.-1 a.m., offering a rare and unique glimpse at one of the world’s most famous and strange Victorian mansions. A commemorative flashlight will be given to all visitors.

Tickets for the evening tours are $45. It is suggested that those planning to attend purchase tickets in advance as the event usually sells out. Tickets may be purchased online at winchestermysteryhouse.com.
