"Fill the Tank" Initiative

On Fan Appreciation Night, the Sharks Foundation asked Sharks Territory for their assistance with its April Environmental Awareness campaign month, challenging them to help reach a $60,000 50/50 Raffle presented by Black Oak Casino Resort jackpot goal.

As the raffle beneficiary, the Boy Scouts of America Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council allocated the donated funds to the "Fill the Tank" initiative to supply four water tanks on their Camp Chesebrough campus.
The camp serves more than 6,000 youth, many Santa Clara County residents, year-round and instills values of environmental stewardship and conservation.
The tanks hold a total of 20,000 gallons, providing potable drinking water for campers and protection from unexpected wildfires.
The Sharks Foundation was excited to complete the project, which came through the 2018-19 Community Assist Grant Cycle, and see the completed tanks in person with Sharks Broadcaster and lifelong Eagle Scout, Dan Rusanowsky on July 11.
