Foundation and Partners Donating $10,000 in Support of VTA Victims

Del Grande Dealer Group and Cache Creek Casino Resort to Join Foundation in Donation

SAN JOSE, CA - In partnership with the Del Grande Dealer Group (@DGDGCARS) and Cache Creek Casino Resort (@CacheCreekCR), The Sharks Foundation (@SJSCommunity) will make donations in support of San Jose gun violence victims, including the victims of the shooting at the VTA station, their families and communities.

In partnership with DGDG, the Sharks Foundation will make a $10,000 donation to the fund in support of San Jose gun violence victims, including the victims of the shooting at the VTA station, their families and communities.

Additionally, the Sharks Foundation and Cache Creek Casino Resort have dedicated 100% of net proceeds of the Sharks Foundation's June sweepstakes presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort to the VTA Solidarity Fund.

In response to a request from community partners, Working Partnerships USA and South Bay Labor Council's Union Community Resource program (UCR) is collecting tax-deductible donations in support of San Jose's gun violence victims, including the victims of the shooting at the VTA station, their families and communities. Fans who would like to support this fund can do so by donating to either the Sharks Foundation fundraising page HERE or the Working Partnerships USA victim's support fundraising page HERE.

"Our community has been profoundly impacted by the May 26 shooting that killed nine individuals and injured others at the VTA Younger Light Rail Station," said Heather Hooper, Community Relations and Sharks Foundation Director." We stand in solidarity with DGDG and Cache Creek Casino Resort in support of the victims of gun violence and encourage all Sharks fans to join us in these fundraising efforts."

"We are deeply saddened by this tragedy that has impacted our community," said Del Grande Dealer Group CEO, Shaun Del Grande. "We see our community as one big family, and our family needs our help. We hope our support can provide immediate assistance to those impacted by this devastation."
