Demers & Joslin Recalled From Worcester

San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defensemen Derek Joslin and Jason Demers from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.


Joslin has played in 20 games with San Jose posting three points (three assists), 12 penalty minutes and a plus-two rating.

With Worcester, Joslin ranks second among team defensemen in assists with 14. In 27 games, he has 15 points (1 goal, 14 assists).

The six-foot-one, 210-pound native of Richmond, Ontario was originally selected by San Jose in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Demers has played in 39 games with San Jose, posting 16 points (two goals, 14 assists) and a plus-9 rating.

In eight games with Worcester, Demers has six points (two goals, four assists) and a plus-seven rating.
