CSNCA to Broadcast "Sharks Classic Games" Series

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Comcast SportsNet California (@CSNAuthentic), the home of “Authentic Bay Area Sports,” in anticipation of the upcoming 2014-15 NHL season, presents “Sharks Classic Games” – a special five-game series reliving some of the most memorable matchups from the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) 2013-14 regular season.

The “Sharks Classic Games” series debuts on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet California with Tomas Hertl’s thrilling four-goal game against the New York Rangers. Following are the games in the series:

Thursday, October 2 at 8 p.m.

From Oct. 8, 2013: New York Rangers at Sharks (Sharks Win 9-2) – Rookie Tomas Hertl's four goals powered the Sharks past the Rangers, making Hertl the youngest NHL player to score four goals in a game since March 20, 1988.

Sunday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

From Dec. 23, 2013: Colorado Avalanche at Sharks (Sharks Win 5-4 Shootout) – Joe Pavelski scored with just 20 seconds left in regulation to tie the game, and Logan Couture and Patrick Marleau tallied in the shootout, leading the Sharks to a 5-4 win over Colorado.

Monday, Oct. 6 at 9 a.m.
From Feb. 5, 2014: Dallas Stars at Sharks (Sharks Win 2-1 OT) – Tommy Wingels scored at 1:52 in overtime, lifting the Sharks to a 2-1 victory against Dallas. Marty Havlat scored a second-period goal and also set up the game-winner with a slick pass from behind the net to Wingels in front for a quick shot past Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen.

Monday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m.

From March 6, 2014: Pittsburgh Penguins at Sharks (Sharks Win 5-3) – Sharks rallied from a two-goal deficit to top Pittsburgh. Sharks captain Joe Thornton scored the game-winner at 14:21 of the third period, and Brent Burns added an empty-net goal with 2.6 seconds left in regulation.

Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.

From March 20, 2014: Anaheim Ducks at San Jose (Sharks Win 3-2) – With first place in the Pacific Division on the line, Brent Burns led the Sharks to a 3-2 victory over Anaheim. Burns scored the game-winner with 3:59 left in regulation. He also had an assist on Joe Thornton’s game-tying goal at 8:11 of the third period.
