SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned center Logan Couture to the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League, following last night’s game at Chicago.

Couture, 20, made his NHL debut on Oct. 25 at Philadelphia. He picked up his first NHL point on Nov. 1 at Carolina, assisting on Brad Staubitz’s game-winning goal.

Playing in his first full season as a professional, Couture has posted one goal and one assist in nine games for San Jose. He has also notched 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in eight games for Worcester. Couture has registered points in seven of his eight games played in Worcester.

The six-foot-one, 195-pound native of London, Ontario was originally selected by San Jose in the first round (9th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
