Couture And Joslin Sent Down

by San Jose Sharks Staff / San Jose Sharks
San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has assigned two players from the 2008-09 San Jose Sharks Training Camp to their respective junior/AHL team.

Logan Couture, the ninth overall pick from the 2007 draft was sent back to his junior club, the Ottawa 67’s. Derek Joslin, a former 67 alum, was sent to Worcester, the Sharks top development affiliate in the AHL. Joslin, a blueliner, was selected in the fifth round in 2005.

The moves leave 29 players remaining in camp.

Sharks Head Coach Todd McLellan’s last chance to evaluate roster hopefuls will come Sunday at 6 p.m. when the Sharks play Los Angeles in Salt Lake City. The game can be heard on 98.5 KFOX or at www.kfox.com.

“We’re really happy with both their camps,” said Head Coach Todd McLellan. “They came in and established themselves really early and their camp’s just got better and better. They are big prospects as far as we are concern. We like to see them down the road.”
