Club To Be Renamed Comerica Bank Club

by Staff Writer / San Jose Sharks
San Jose Sharks President and CEO Greg Jamison and Comerica Bank’s Western Market President and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Fulton announced today that the club level at HP Pavilion will be named this summer as the Comerica Bank Club. Financial terms of the multi-year deal were not disclosed.

The process of branding the club level will be completed over the next few months while a date for a planned dedication ceremony to officially christen the Comerica Bank Club will be released at a later time. All current references to the club level will be named as the Comerica Bank Club, including entryway signage at the North, South and Grill (off Santa Clara St.) entrances, in addition to other club level collateral.

“We are proud to strengthen our decade-long association with Comerica Bank,” said Jamison. “They have been a great partner to the Sharks and HP Pavilion and we now look forward to continuing that association by introducing them as the first-ever title sponsor of the Comerica Bank Club.”

“The Sharks and HP Pavilion are an important centerpiece for the nation's 10th largest city, and a symbol of the enthusiasm, talent, diversity and success that we experience here in the West,” said Fulton. “We take seriously our commitment to the communities where we do business, and are proud of this new, enhanced relationship with this premier sport and entertainment arena.”

HP Pavilion at San Jose is a showcase of beauty and technology that has become the cornerstone of a revitalized downtown cityscape and continues to create excitement and civic pride for San Jose. In slightly over a decade, the venue has overwhelmingly established itself as the place-to-be-and-be-seen in the Bay Area and has deservedly been called “the biggest success story in the city’s rebuilt downtown.”

Pollstar Magazine ranked HP Pavilion at San Jose the number seven venue in the world, number five in North America and number three in the United States in terms of non-sports tickets sold for the 2005 calendar year while the building recently enjoyed a record setting year in terms of numbers of shows and attendance figures.

The Comerica Bank Club level at HP Pavilion is typically accessible only to club seat holders who enjoy premier seat locations to view all the non-stop action of NHL hockey. In addition to food and beverage service at the seats, Comerica Bank Club seat holders have easy access to The Grill (on site restaurant) and exclusive access to the Club’s concession stands, bars and lounge. The Comerica Bank Club level is open to all event attendees at select events, including SaberCats Arena Football League games and marquee concerts.
