On October 28 against the Anaheim Ducks, rookie forward Rourke Chartier scored his first career NHL goal in his eighth career NHL game.

Chartier begins the play by collecting a loose puck and passing it to Tomas Hertl behind the Ducks net. Hertl takes the puck out around the net and shoots the puck. Ducks goalie Gibson makes the save, but gives up a large rebound. Chartier picks up the rebound and spins around, shooting the puck past Gibson to give the Sharks a 2-1 lead.
