Sharks Welcome Druva as Newest Corporate Partner

Druva to Sponsor In-Arena 'Penalty-Kill Videoboard Feature To Promote Leadership in Cloud Data Protection

SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced today a new, five-year corporate partnership with Druva, Inc. (@druvainc), the leader in cloud data protection and management. The partnership begins with the 2018-19 National Hockey League season.

The partnership includes three major components:

  • The organizations' shared commitment to social responsibility with Druva sponsoring the Sharks community reading outreach program "Reading Is Cool." Druva will work with the Sharks to maintain and expand "Reading Is Cool" which already includes 1,200 local schools.

  • Jointly working together on a social media component.

  • Druva's in-arena sponsorship of the "Penalty Kill" video board feature during Sharks home games.

SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) of the National Hockey League (@NHL) are proud to announce a new partnership with Verve Beverage Company making Verve Energy Drink the official energy drink of the San Jose Sharks.

This multi-year, exclusive partnership includes digital signage throughout SAP Center at San Jose as well as renaming of the SAP Center's concourse bar as the "Verve Ice Bar" which will prominently feature Verve brand integration. Additionally, Verve Energy Drink will be made available at SAP Center events including San Jose Sharks home games.

The Sharks were honored in the categories of "Best in Sales Collateral" where they were nominated twice and captured the top prize and "Overall Award of Excellence" where they placed third. The awards were presented to the team at a special awards show on Monday night in Frisco, Texas.

Meriwest to Debut Sharks Debit Card in 2018

Cardholders Will Have Opportunities to Win Exclusive Fan Experiences; Access to a Preferred Entry Lane at Games and Events

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) announced today that corporate partner Meriwest Credit Union will debut a San Jose Sharks debit card later this month. The debit card will be available with any of Meriwest's checking account options and will offer exclusive opportunities to cardholders including access to a preferred entry lane at Sharks games and other SAP Center events as well as opportunities to win exclusive fan experiences. This is Meriwest's first year as a corporate partner of the San Jose Sharks.

Sharks Sports & Entertainment Announces Business Operations Enhancement

Jonathan Becher and John Tortora Have Been Named as Co-Presidents of Sharks Sports & Entertainment

SAN JOSE, CA - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) Majority Owner Hasso Plattner today announced an enhancement to the organization's business operations unit.

Jonathan Becher and John Tortora have been named as co-presidents of Sharks Sports & Entertainment (SSE), effective immediately. Becher will be responsible for the areas of sales, marketing and revenue. Tortora, who has served as SSE's chief operating officer since 2011, will oversee the company's finance and venue operations. He will also remain an alternate governor for the franchise with the National Hockey League.

Sharks General Manager Doug Wilson will continue to oversee hockey operations.

Additionally, the comprehensive partnership includes marketing and in-arena elements at SAP Center over the duration of the deal.

The new BMW Lounge is a members-only experience that promises to be the most upscale club space in San Jose. Memberships include seats in the first three rows of the lower bowl, access to the lounge with a semi-private entrance, personal concierge service, complimentary parking, access to SAP Center facilities on non-event days, and complimentary food and beverage including beer, wine, soda, and water.

In only their second annual study of professional sports franchises, J.D. Power gave the Sharks an impressive total of 788 points, edging the San Jose Earthquakes by one point to rank as the top of the seven professional Bay Area sports franchises.
