Ask the Sharks: Marc-Edouard Vlasic

by Alison High / San Jose Sharks
Marc-Edouard Vlasic is good at defying the odds.

In 2006, as a 19-year-old, Vlasic was invited to training camp and made the opening night roster. As the youngest defenseman in the National Hockey League, Vlasic played in 81 games, posted 26 points and earned a spot on the NHL All-Rookie Team.

Today, the man known as “Pickles” is 21 and ranks among the NHL’s top defensemen. The 6-foot-1 native of Montreal is currently sixth in assists (14) and 11th in points (17) among active defensemen. And he will be the next player featured on our Ask the Sharks segment.

If you have a question you've always wanted to ask Vlasic, send it in to askthesharks@sjsharks.com and check back on Sunday to see which ones were selected.
