Ask the Sharks: Jody Shelley

by San Jose Sharks Staff / San Jose Sharks
Sharks left wing Jody Shelley will be the second player featured on our weekly segment of Ask the Sharks. Fans will have the opportunity to send in their questions for Shelley to and we will pick the best ones to ask the 32-year-old enforcer.

The six-foot-three native of Thompson, Manitoba was acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets on Jan. 29, 2008 in exchange for a sixth round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, Shelly has made an impact on the Sharks roster. On April 6, 2008 he set a franchise record with 41 penalty minutes at Dallas, surpassing Marty McSorley's mark of 39 on March 24, 1997.

To start the 2008-09 season, Shelley has earned fighting majors in back-to-back games (Cote vs. PHI, Parros at ANA).
