Since joining the Sharks with Dan Boyle from Tampa Bay on July 4, 2008, the 6-foot-1 defenseman has six assists and a plus-8 rating in 35 games. Lukowich also ranks fourth on the team in hits (72) and third in blocked shots (52).

The 32-year-old was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in 1994 (fourth round, 90th overall).

Besides hockey, this native of Cranbrook, British Columbia has a love for music and tattoos. Lukowich managed bands in the Tampa Bay area and since joining the Sharks, he’s played hosts to members of Pantera, Counting Crows, Nickelback and Trapt at various games.

As for tattoos, Lukwoich has two Stanley Cups on his ankle (based on being a member of Stanley Cup Champions in Dallas and Tampa Bay). He also has one of Texas mixed with Canada on his back to represent his wife’s home state and his childhood in Canada.
