We received so many great questions for Dan Boyle's segment of Ask the Sharks that we couldn't just use ten. Below are Dan's answers to 14 of your best questions.

1.Mr. Boyle if you weren't a hockey player what would you want be and do? – Alex
I would want to be a lead singer in a band.

2.What's the difference between the San Jose Sharks and the Tampa Bay Lightning team you won a Stanley cup with? – Octavio
You know what, I think just winning the Stanley Cup is the only thing Tampa has that this team doesn’t have. I think both teams are pretty similar in the way that they’re pretty strong and deep in all positions.

3.It is a joy to watch you skate. Is that speed and control something you have to work at, or were you just blessed with it? – DK
It’s a mixture of both. I think I was blessed with some natural abilities, but certainly growing up I spent a lot of time on my skating and a lot of practices so it’s a combination of both.

4.Dan, I'm a Shark fan from LA...saw you all play Saturday vs the Blues...looking forward to going to SJ to see you guys in the playoffs...who do you see as the biggest obstacle once the playoffs start? All the best and BEAT LA! – Steve Bourgouin
That’s an impossible question to answer right now. We’re still not in the playoffs, we haven’t clinched a playoff spot, so right now we’re fighting for our playoff lives and then it doesn’t matter who we play, I think it’s going to be pretty tough. Every team that’s going to be in the playoffs is going to be very hard to play against.

5.I think you're amazing but my question is not really about hockey. My girlfriend thinks you are the best looking Shark and an exceptional dresser off the ice. Do you put all your outfits together yourself or does someone help you out with that? – Eddie and Shannon
Wow. I’ve never been told I’m a good dresser before. Yea, I dress myself. I’m not a big fashion guy. Obviously I don’t like to shave very much and thank you I guess. I don’t know!

6.My first grade class and I graph the Sharks and the rest of the Pac. Division teams' points each morning. We are HUGE fans and participate in your Reading is Cool program. The Reading is Cool medals are the best reading incentive out there for my class. THANKS!!! We would like to ask Dan, what character from a children's book are you most like? – Miss Debbie Pavlos and the Room 8 Bears
I’m like The Little Engine That Could.

7.At any point in your years of playing hockey be it, really young or just making it in the NHL did you ever find yourself questioning whether or not it was worth it or close to just giving it all up? And if so, what was your motivation to keep at it? – Heather S.

Well I think yea my first few years in Florida were pretty hard because it was kind of one of those things where I got to the NHL, I got to play, but I wasn’t playing the way I would like and I wasn’t given the opportunity that I was hoping for. That was tough, but I never thought about quitting. This is what I’ve wanted to do since any day I can remember so I definitely don’t want to give it up.

8.What is the best practical joke you've either witnessed or been a part of since you joined the Sharks? – Norma
I don’t know about any ones here, but I know in Florida, a guy that wears dentures – Mike Sillinger – we were on the road and somebody took his teeth and mailed them back to his wife back home. So he was on the road trip without any teeth. So that was pretty funny to watch.

9.What's Dan Boyle's favorite thing about living in San Jose? – Alix
Just the quality of life. The weather and where we’re living is great.

10.If you were on the opposite team as Douglas Murray would you finish a check on him? - Jason Rodrigues
Absolutely not. (Laughs)

11.Danny, I notice that you have very good hockey instincts, how much of the game of hockey requires instincts? And do you think that instincts can not be taught, they just are naturally with you? -- Scott B.
Yea, that’s what instincts are. It’s just a natural ability. Some guys just have it a bit better than others and you can always work on parts of your game, but when you have to make a decision in a fraction of a second, that’s just who you are and I’m pretty fortunate to have pretty good instincts. I hope anyways.

12.What would be the line-up for your concert of a lifetime? – Carey Richard
Definitely Faith No More as my headliners. Red Hot Chili Peppers would probably be the middle act and then the opening would probably be Tool.

13.Can you share your experience of playing at Miami in the NCAA and offer some advice for young players hoping to play at the College level? - Charles Sauriol

Again, I’ve been pretty fortunate in my life. I went to a great school. My experience was awesome, I was there for four years. Obviously I got to graduate with a degree and play in the NHL which was kind of my goal. I wanted to have both and I got to do both. So if it’s the right way to go for a player, you can certainly achieve a lot.

14.We all know you are a lousy weatherman, but who do you think should do the next commercial and what should they be lousy at? - from @Roman_Garcia
That’s a very good question. Jason Demers as a monk. And he throws a mean right punch apparently. (laughs)
